Regardless of how excited you are for VR as a medium for gaming, one overwhelming truth is that the majority of experiences we’ll have over the next several months and even throughout 2016 will be expanded tech demos. Deep, engaging, narrative-driven adventures take years to create and most studios that are working on them currently aren’t ready to release their finished products. Luckily, there are a few standout titles that are poised to scratch that exploratory story-driven itch and The Gallery: Episode 1 – Call of Starseed is certainly one of them.
We’ve discussed their unique and innovative “Blink” movement system in the past, which allows you to maximize your room for a mixture of teleporting and full roomscale locomotion, but now in the days leading up to launch, the focus shifts away from gameplay mechanics and looks at the immersive qualities of the world that Cloudhead Games has built for The Gallery.
In the launch trailer above, we’re treated to a wide range of environments that showcase how much thought and effort was put into building one of the largest and most detailed VR games on the market to date. According to Cloudhead Games CEO Denny Unger:

With talented developers on the team boasting AAA-quality game development backgrounds (experience with studios such as Bioware, Relic, Riot, and EA) The Gallery is poised to take the VR world by storm if it lives up to expectations.
