50 Days Of PS VR #32: 'Kismet' Will Tell You The Future With a Virtual Fortune Teller

50 Days Of PS VR #32: 'Kismet' Will Tell You The Future With a Virtual Fortune Teller

Only 33 days left before the launch of the PS VR! We’re counting down to the release of Sony’s VR headset on October 13th by highlighting one game a day for its anticipated release. Today we’re gazing into the crystal ball to see what’s next in your future.

While the lineup for PlayStation’s upcoming VR headset may be dominated primarily by gaming applications, there are a few alternative experiences in the mix as well, such as Kismet for example. It’s not really a game in the traditional sense, so much as it is a virtual fortune teller you can visit each and every day for something slightly different.

She will read your fortune — complete with horoscope, tarot cards, and more — and let you experience the mystical art that’s all but forgotten in most modern parts of the world.

When we originally covered Kismet back in May when it released on PC, we noted its inspiration. “I’ve been obsessed with mechanical fortune telling machines ever since I was a child,” says David Chontos, Writer and Director at Psyop.

Since releasing on Steam for Rift and Vive, the application has garnered “Very Positive” user reviews overall, with 75 total and only 6 being negative. The atmosphere is quite pretty and relaxing, which is a nice change of pace from the high-octane action you’ll find in most of PS VR’s currently confirmed library.

Kismet is confirmed to be available, at launch, for the PlayStation VR when it releases next month on October 13th.
