Nearly three years on from launch, VR zombie shooter Arizona Sunshine just received its newest piece of DLC.
Vertigo Games launched The Damned DLC tolday on PSVR and PC VR for around $5. A trailer announcing the release date can be seen below.
The Damned adds an all-new mission to Arizona Sunshine set on, you guessed it, a dam. Set before both the main campaign and the Dead Man DLC, you play as a US Special Forces agent tasked with reactivating the facility. Vertigo says it’s Arizona’s largest mission to date. As with other missions, it can be played in co-op and comes with a new set of achievements.
We first revealed footage of the DLC at our E3 VR Showcase event back in June. The last DLC addition to the game lasted for roughly an hour, which might be a good indication of how long this one will run for.
That’s not all that’s happening in the world of Arizona Sunshine at the moment, though. The Quest port of the game (also announced at E3) is set for release later this year. This DLC will be available on that release too, though we don’t yet know if it’ll be bundled in with the main game or cost extra.
It’s not clear if this will be the final DLC update for Arizona Sunshine but, if it is, it’s longevity has proved to be quite remarkable. That’s not even counting the spin-off arcade games, either.
Elsewhere, Vertigo is currently working on its next big VR game, After The Fall, which is due for release in 2020.
