We’re still waiting for big publishers like EA to fully commit to VR and AR, but new studios exclusively dedicated to these types of experiences are also popping up. Big Immersive is one such publisher.
This new company left stealth mode earlier this month, though has already published several VR titles. Earlier this year, for example, it launched Agelore’s Fantasy on platforms like Google Daydream and the Oculus Rift as well as Love Cubed VR and City Traffic Control. In fact, for a stealth company, it’s been quite busy; the team was at E3 back in June, where it showcased content on the Pico VR headset. Content for Sony’s PlayStation VR (PSVR) and the HTC Vive is also in the works.
Big Immersive has offices both in Dubai and the UK, and also opened its own development studio in Lahore, Pakistan.
At a time in which many are waiting for VR to go mainstream to commit to content development it’s encouraging to see some companies go all-in.
Look for more from this studio going forward, then. For now, its official website lists two Q3 2017 games; an escape room experience called Robbery at the Museum, and Space Jump. Both are coming to Rift and Daydream. The team is looking beyond gaming though, also considering immersive movies and experiences for publication. If you’re interested in getting involved you can do so through the website.
