The Biggest HTC Vive Releases Of The Week 09/03/17

Can you hear that? Quiet, isn’t it? It’s a strangely slow week of releases for the Vive, but all that means is there’s a chance to catch your breath and maybe go back and play something you haven’t got to yet. If you’re desperate for something new, though, we’ve got you covered.

In the meantime, if you missed the previous iteration of this list, you can see those new releases here. And don’t forget that UploadVR has a Steam community group, complete with a curated list of recommendations so that you don’t have to waste any money finding out what’s good in the world of VR.

We also have a top list of the absolute best HTC Vive games — which is updated every few months with the latest and greatest options.

The Big Releases

Crashimals, by Rogue Earth
Price: $14.99

Blowing stuff up in any old videogame is fun, but in VR it’s even better. Crashimals looks a little like VR’s own take on Angry Birds; pilots jump into planes and attempt to take down structures with bombs, and you get to reveal in their demise. It’s a puzzle game at heart, controlled with motion controllers.

Recommendation: This looks like it could be a bit of fun.

Don’t Knock Twice, by Wales Interactive
Price: $15.99

Wales Interactive delivers this week’s dose of VR horror. Cast as a guilt-ridden mother, you journey to save your daughter from a demonic witch. You’ll explore a massive house, interacting with objects to solve puzzles and progress further, with plenty of scares abound. The game stars Battlestar Galactica’s Katee Sackhoff.

Recommendation: We weren’t so thrilled by Don’t Knock Twice.

The IOTA Project Demo, by DreamSail Games
Price: Free

The IOTA Project is only available as a demo right now, but we’d still recommend you pick it up, as it gets VR mech combat right. Explore a colorful sandbox and take down enemies in your giant war machine, swinging its arms using your motion controllers and activating attacks with in-game buttons. It’s a heck of a lot of fun.

Recommendation: Absolutely check this one out.
