The Big Releases
The Invisible Hours, from Tequilla Work
The developers of Rime make their VR debut with this enthralling VR murder mystery. Follow a story that unfolds in real time in an open world, allowing you to tour the halls of a mansion following specific characters, then rewinding time to find out what the rest of the cast has been up to. Investigate the murder of Nikola Tesla on a dark and stormy night.
Recommendation: Don’t miss this. There’s nothing quite like it.
Space Pirate Trainer, from I-Illusions
One of VR’s original wave shooters finally emerges from Early Access this week. This arcade-themed shooter focuses on high scores and stylish action, tasking you with taking down wave after wave of drones. Use a range of weaponry to turn the enemy into scrap metal and feel awesome doing it.
Recommendation: Space Pirate Trainer is one of VR’s best wave shooters. Don’t miss it.
Million Arthur VR, from Square Enix
Square Enix’s first VR Japenese role-playing game is an adaptation of a little-known card battling game. Set in a world in which people named Arthur are contending for the throne, you team up with a small party to battle vicious monsters and more. Beware: In-app purchases are rife here.
Recommendation: Jury’s still out on this one.
