The Biggest Oculus, SteamVR and Windows Releases Of The Week 11/19/17

There’s plenty of great new VR experiences for you to try out with your Thanksgiving weekend.

And don’t forget that UploadVR has a Steam community group, complete with a curated list of recommendations so that you don’t have to waste any money finding out what’s good in the world of VR. We also have a top list of the absolute best Oculus Rift and HTC Vive games at the corresponding links.

Reboant, from Darklord
Price: $0.99 (Vive, Early Access)

Truth be told, we’re surprised to see Reboant pop up on Steam with absolutely no hype behind it. This is a visually striking shooter that seems to boast the production values many in VR long for. Right now it’s in early release version, so look for a more complete edition later down the line.

Alchemist Defender VR, from TreeView Studios
Price: $16.99 (Rift, Vive)

Here’s a polished-looking tower defense game for Rift and Vive. Become a Master Alchemist and seek total power as you invade new worlds and take down their rebellion. It actually sounds like you’re the bad guy in this, which is a very cool idea.

The Exorcist: Legion VR Episodes 1 & 2, from Wolf & Wood
Price: Episode 1 – Free, Episode 2 – $4.99 (Rift, Vive, currently discounted)

The developers of Chair in a Room: Greenwater return with an official tie-in to the legendary Exorcist franchise. Take on different cases and dive deep into supernatural horrors. More episodes are set to be released in the coming months.

Dispatch, from Here Be Dragons
Price: Episode 1 – Free, Remaining Episodes – $2.99 (Rift)

This episodic VR series sinks its claws into you and doesn’t let go; it’s an intense thriller that follows a police dispatcher as he attempts to save lives while officers remain one step behind a domestic abuse case. It’s unflinching and very powerful.
