Publisher nDreams announced today that their gory virtual-reality beat-em-up, Bloody Zombies, will hit Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4/PSVR on September 12th for $14.99.
Developed by Paw Print Games and set in the UK (Get it? Bloody Zombies?), nDreams’s newest VR outing is an old-school beat-em-up in the vein of Streets of Rage or the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game. While not a genre that lends itself to VR on first consideration, players who don a headset can find secrets in the environment that aren’t otherwise accessible. They will also have a bird’s-eye view of the action and can help direct their VR-less friends in both local and online cooperative play.
Bloody Zombies will be available for pre-order on Steam and PS4 August 4th. Xbox users will have to be patient, as the pre-order date for that platform is still to be determined. Pre-release buyers receive a 10% discount.
The release of Bloody Zombies will mark Paw Print Game’s debut. Publisher nDreams is best-known in the VR world for the first-person adventure The Assembly. Founded in 2006 and the developer/publisher shifted their focus to virtual reality in 2013. Other experiences from the company include Perfect, Danger Goat, Gunner, and skyDIEving.
