Stress Level Zero’s highly anticipated VR title Boneworks made it the top of the charts on the Steam Top Selling list on the day of its release.
The Steam Top Selling list covers the entire Steam Store, including PC games, VR games and even Valve hardware like the Valve Index. It is quite an achievement then for a VR game to top the list and best out several popular PC games, even just for one day.
At the time of writing this put Boneworks above some popular recent PC releases, such as Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Red Dead Redemption 2. While these releases didn’t come out on the same day as Boneworks, they’re still quite new and it remains an impressive feat for a VR game to top the charts on Steam.
Boneworks also broke into Steam’s Top 100 Player Count on launch day as well, so it is safe to say that Stress Level Zero’s newest title seems to be doing well.
If you haven’t already, you can check out our review of the game from yesterday. Here’s a small excerpt:
Boneworks never sweeps you away on the same kind of rollercoaster ride its biggest influences charted, but you’d be hardpressed not to get carried away on its own journey; one of interactive wizardry, devilishly gratifying combat and stunning physical authenticity, even if that occasionally works against you.
