Buy A Rift Before Dec. 14 And Get Lone Echo For Free

Oculus announced today that from right now all the way through 11:59PM PT on December 14 (that’s one week) anyone that buys an Oculus Rift on this specific webpage will also get a free copy of Lone Echo as well. As one of VR’s very best single player games thus far, this is great news. And for what it’s worth, Echo Arena, its competitive multiplayer spin-off, is already free to download.

When the Rift originally launched in early 2016 everyone got a free copy of EVE: Valkyrie, but that’s not the case anymore. Nowadays the likes of Lucky’s Tale and Robo Recall are still free, combined with other free-to-play titles such as Rec Room, which all adds up to anyone that buys a Rift in the next week immediately having full access to some of VR’s best content, period.

The decision was made in conjunction with The Game Awards happening tonight, according to the Oculus blog, at which Lone Echo/Echo Arena are nominated for VR Game of the Year. We’re also expecting to hear new game announcements from both Owlchemy Labs and Squanch Games tonight — perhaps a collaboration?
