Check out the teaser trailer for Cloudhead's 'The Gallery: Call of the Starseed'

Cloudhead Games just released the trailer to their upcoming built for VR adventure game The Gallery: Call of the Starseed and it looks awesome. The trailer, which at about a minute long teases about 30 seconds worth of gameplay, doesn’t highlight the recently announced Blink motion mechanic, but rather focuses on the story a bit.

One of the big takeaways from the trailer is the first appearance of a ‘weapon’ in the game. Until now The Gallery has appeared as an adventure puzzler and there has been no sign of combat, and while the appearance of a flare gun does not immediately signal there will be combat, the menacing bad guys emblazoned on the title screen do suggest some sort of foe that you will have to reckon with.

Call of the Starseed is the first in a multi-part game series coming from Cloudhead. The game will make its first public appearance this month at PAX Prime in Seattle. Previously, Cloudhead has shown a short demo as a part of the HTC Vive demo reel, however this demo will be from an entirely different part of the game and will contain a lot more of a complete experience, including highlighting the new Blink mechanic.

In addition to being available during the duration of the show, Cloudhead Games is offering 8 lucky winners a pass to Jump the Q at Pax Prime, putting winners on the fast track to the future of VR media. Those interested can like or follow Cloudhead on Twitter or Facebook to be entered to win, they will announce two winners each day leading up to the show.

If you can’t make it to PAX this year, don’t fret – we will be there early reporting on this and all the other VR titles that will be making an appearance at the show, so stay tuned!
