Sony has not been shy about discounting its flagship VR headset, the PSVR. Over the Black Friday sales, Christmas sales, and various software price slashes the last few months have been the best time ever to get in on the VR train for PS4 owners. Now, they’re back at it again with some discounts that are just too good to pass up.
The lowest-priced model, the Gran Turismo bundle, includes the required PS4 camera, the PSVR headset, and a copy of Gran Turismo: Sport all for just $199. This bundle is the older model PSVR.
Additionally, there’s the DOOM VFR bundle, which includes the game, camera, and newer model headset for $299. This feels like the weakest deal of the bunch as the new headset model’s only real improvement is HDR pass-through — you could save money buying the GT bundle and then buying DOOM VFR separately. That’d net you enough cash to try and pick up the PS Aim controller, which is one of the better ways of playing the game for sure.
Finally, there’s the big daddy Skyrim VR bundle that will run you $349. This bundle includes the game, camera, new headset model, and two Move controllers. If you haven’t played Skyrim in VR yet, then you’re really missing out.
All of these sales are “while supplies last at participating retailers” and none of them include a PS4 itself, which is obviously needed. GameStop, Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and Target are all supposedly participating, so keep an eye out between 2/18/18 and 3/3/18 over the next few weeks.
