Epic Games and Tim Sweeney dropped an Unreal bomb on us at Connect, Bullet Train a FPS built for the Oculus Touch controls. The game brings some really fun elements, like the ability to slow down time and grab bullets out of the air and throw them back at the enemies. The game also uses a teleportation mechanic for locomotion.
Virtual reality is a huge part of Epic’s future. As Sweeney writes on the Unreal Engine blog, “Epic puts enormous effort into building great technology and content for the Oculus Rift and Gear VR. We believe that the VR revolution currently underway will open up unprecedented opportunities for game developers, filmmakers, and other creative folks.”
