Earlier this month we reported that Blade Runner 2049 was getting a VR experience that would debut at San Diego Comic Con this week. As it turns out, there are actually going to be three tie-in experiences to the movie, and the first of these has just surfaced.
Blade Runner 2049: Replicant Pursuit is on its way to Gear VR on July 21st, and is developed by Turtle Rock Studios, the team behind Face Your Fears (and, for the wider gaming crowd, Evolve). It looks like a virtual rollercoaster ride of sorts, with your character chasing one of the series’ menacing androids in a futuristic flying car. If you don’t have a Gear don’t worry; a free Blade Runner VR installation will be available near Comic Con this week with no pass necessary. The other two experiences will be released in the run up to the new film in October, and will come to Rift too.
