Grab your headset and prepare to discover a new virtual reality music experience presented by Sensorium Galaxy. The Intermundium Show is Carl Cox’s debut VR spectacle and intends to blur the lines between the physical and virtual worlds through the artist’s recorded music.
The venture features a hyper-realistic avatar of Cox himself set against a backdrop of rhythmically pulsating virtual environments. Similar to his live shows, his avatar performs with a sense of unpredictability that existing fans have come to appreciate.
Committed to accessibility, Sensorium Galaxy has made the show freely available across various platforms, including PCVR, Steam, Meta Quest, and the Epic Games Store. Users can find the non-interactive stream on YouTube, which has garnered over 9 million views.
Intermundium consists of a 30-minute set featuring original content written, produced, and performed by Carl Cox and then transformed into a musical act that plans to engross all of a user’s senses simultaneously.
The show is held inside PRISM, but it’s not just a show - guests first board a spacecraft shuttle where they can personalize their avatars to reflect their current mood and identity and interact with AI-driven companions. Guests can mingle with other attendees on the dancefloor to augment the immersion.
Sensorium Galaxy features various venues, including an innovative space where virtual DJs host continuous parties in a constantly evolving environment. The company also partnered with DJs such as Black Coffee, David Guetta, and Armin Van Buuren for events in PRISM World, Sensorium Galaxy’s hub dedicated to electronic music.
Mona Lisa: Metaverse Renaissance, released in 2023, digitally reimagines the Mona Lisa in a musical journey for those who prefer an immersive spectacle without the need to interact. The experience can still be found on YouTube and the Meta Quest store.
Earlier in 2023, Sensorium Galaxy also introduced a high-end Salvador Dali avatar to mirror the artist’s unique perspective and engage users with dynamic conversations. The company believes that blending VR with generative AI is only the beginning of what will be possible for them as they continue to create a place for themselves in the metaverse.
Between advanced photogrammetry, motion capture techniques, and additional proprietary AI development systems, Sensorium Galaxy aims to construct a new approach to social VR experiences.
