We’ve just got a fresh look at upcoming VR adventure, Dyshcronia: Chronos Alternate.
A new trailer for the latest game from Tokyo-based MyDearest debuted on the Upload VR Showcase today. It gives us an overview of the game’s story as well as introducing new gameplay mechanics. Check it out below.
New Dyshcronia: Chronos Alternate Trailer Revealed
In Dyschronia you play as Hal Scion, who has the ability to access people’s memories. You’ll use this power to investigate the murder of the founder of a futuristic city in which crime is not supposed to be possible.
The footage shows some of the puzzle and investigation mechanics we’ve seen in past looks at Dyschronia, though it also reveals stealth elements, in which the player must hide from enemies hunting them.
Dyschronia is the third game set in MyDearest’s Chronos universe, a series that got its start back with 2019’s Tokyo Chronos. Whereas that original game was essentially a VR visual novel, a sequel named Altdeus: Beyond Chronos looked to add more interactive elements. Dyschronia is looking like it will again evolve the gameplay.
Currently, Dyschronia is scheduled to release on Quest 2 this year, though a release on other headsets hasn’t yet been announced. It’s set to be an episodic release split into three parts, though the studio aims to have the entire game out by the end of 2022.
