E3 2017: VR Shooter Primordian Looks Impressive in New Trailer

We went hands-on with Primordian a few months back and we liked what we saw. The game needs a little fine-tuning on the combat side, but it’s Turok-like setting and graphics kept us intrigued. That aspect shines through in the game’s new E3 trailer.

Developer Stonepunk Studios posted this new look at the game just ahead of this week’s big show, and it’s looking like something that stands up to all of the new projects announced in the last few days. Primordian has you using bizzarree weapons that appear to have spawned from the planet itself, and you use them to take on Predator-like enemies. When we played the game the melee combat lacked impact, but Stonepunk says it’s adressing those issues.

To that end, an update to the game is on the way that will include the first two hours of styory gameplay. We’ve played about 30 minutes of it so far and we’re eager to see how the story will develop.

Primordian will be out on the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive later this year.
