Last month’s Farpoint served as a good, if not brilliant introduction to the new PlayStation Aim Controller. Fans will be happy to know that there’s more on the way, then.
Developer Impulse Gear is showcasing new content for the game ahead of Sony’s E3 press conference in LA today. Details are still coming in but so far we know there will be a new level for the game’s co-op survival mode, which has a snowy theme. There are also going to be some new challenge levels for the single-player challenge mode, but no word on an expansion to the story itself yet.
We’re going to try and find out more about the DLC soon, so stay tuned. It’s coming out on June 27th.
Farpoint is a first-person shooter that takes full advantage of the rifle-shaped Aim Controller for PlayStation VR (PSVR). It’s full of great moments and some of the best slices of entertainment in VR to date, but in our review we also noted that the campaign became repetitive even in its brief running time.
More PSVR news is expected to come out of Sony’s PSVR conference in an hour’s time, so stay tuned.
