UploadVR GameCast - Ep. 2: GDC Recap and Rift Launch Titles w/ Will Mason

Before we get into this week’s episode I just have to say thank you to this amazing community. Over 1,000 of you listened to our first episode and all of us here at UploadVR are so incredibly grateful for that support!

Honestly, podcasting is a new thing for this site and we weren’t entirely sure how it would go. However, all of the listens, kind comments and helpful suggestions have convinced us that GameCast is a show that you all want and we’re proud to announce that it’s here to stay!

The number one suggestion we received after episode one was to have an iTunes page and an RSS reader for the show. We’re waiting on the good folks at iTunes to approve us, but the RSS reader is good to go! You can subscribe by using the link below:

Make sure you do because David and I have been lining up some amazing guests to take the next few shows to the next level. And who better to start raising our show’s power level than UploadVR’s commander-in-chief himself: Will Mason.

GameCast Episode 2: GDC Recap and Rift Launch Titles w/Will Mason

Cast:

Joe Durbin – UploadVR Staff Writer and GameCast Host,

David Jagneaux – UploadVR Games Editor,

Will Mason – UploadVR’s Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief.

In this episode David and Joe are talking (AKA recovering from) GDC 2016 with their “boss” Will Mason. We’ll also be going over the PS VR’s price and the Oculus Rift’s launch library.

Some highlights include:

-Will’s brilliant idea for a new game – Dirty Job Simulator – that’s ridiculous enough to derail the show for 15 minutes or so.

-Our decision on which major VR brand “won” the show at GDC.

-PS VR’s chances of success now that it’s price and release window are known.

-Our opinions on Rift’s 30 title launch library and its overall content strategy.

Thanks again for listening everyone! We want this to be a true community podcast so please feel free to write any ideas, comments, questions or suggestions in the comments below or in an email to joe@uploadvr.com. If you want to be on the show feel free to ask us about that as well!

We’re all figuring out this industry together so you’re insights are just as important as ours.
