Gates of Nowhere Looks Like A Dark Indiana Jones For Vive In New Trailer

If room scale VR has taught me one thing, it’s that I love to dodge stuff. Last second ducks and near-miss steps really show the power of the presence that the best VR experiences provide and makes us feel a little like Indiana Jones. It looks like we’ll be doing plenty of evading when Gates Of Nowhere gets here.

This new title from Symmetrical — which we got a look at back in May — is due for launch in Early Access on Vive this month. It caught our eye with its rock solid graphics and gameplay that actually utilizes the physical space around you in VR. You find yourself in a dungeon that you’ll have to escape, looking out for traps and fighting off monsters with both melee and ranged combat. The full version is promising a two and a half hour campaign with 10 weapons, but for now, you’ll be able to play the first half of the content with three weapons. The next update will add new weapons and enable full locomotion (it’s only teleporting for now).
