Adult entertainment has been an early driver of new video and digital technology for decades, and it’s often cited as a major influence on the rise of VHS over Betamax, Blu-ray over HD-DVD, the adoption of online credit card transaction standards and the proliferation of high-speed internet. So it should come as no surprise that it’s also a major force at the dawn of VR experiences. One such experience, Gold Club SF VR, recreates the famous Gold Club strip club in San Francisco, California, complete with the front desk, main stage, bar and ATM by the front door.
Gold Club SF VR features 15 dancers, four from the Gold Club and 11 adult film stars, including Chloe Amour, Megan Rain, Adria Rae and Alexis Monroe. You can watch them dance on stage or take a trip to the champagne room for a private show with up to three of the girls. While it’s free to download, that ATM in the lobby will come in handy as the VR adult experience does require real-world currency tips for the dancers to get fully nude.
Gold Club SF VR is currently available for Gear VR, Google Cardboard and Oculus Rift, and can be downloaded for free at http://www.goldclubsf.com/vr/. There is also a PlayStation VR version planned for the near future.
