Google, BBC And More Set To Speak At VRUK In London This Week

Industry leaders are gathering once again to talk about all things VR as the second annual VRUK festival gets underway later this week.

Set to take place in Ravensbourne, London, the show is gathering speakers from VR leaders like Google and the BBC to discuss the tech with a specific focus on art and filmmaking. Google’s Greg Ivanov will be there to talk about the latest on the Daydream mobile VR ecosystem, while Will Saunders of the BBC will also give his outlook on the industry. You’ll also find an Exploration Zone in which you can try your hand with the latest VR hardware and software.

The show is set to take place over two days from June 6th – 7th in which you’ll learn about things like WebVR, 360 filming, the impact of VR and the types of new experiences the tech will one day enable. Other companies on the speakers list include Rewind, Jaunt, Sky and the National Theatre.

The show will also see the launch of the VRUK BetaLab, a development programme offering up to £500 to help creators bring their ideas to life. Participants will attend a selection of workshops educating them on VR at the Ravensbourne campus within the next few weeks. Expect to see some interesting new VR projects surface from it.

Interesting in going? Tickets are currently on sale for £99 (booking fee not included).
