Home Net Games is working on a VR helicopter game named HeliSquad: Covert Operations.
A short teaser for the game was revealed during the Upload VR Showcase today. Check it out below.
HeliSquad: Covert Operations Reveal Trailer
The clip gives us a look at one of the helicopters we can expect to pilot in the upcoming game. There’s no gameplay just yet, but you can likely expect first-person cockpit action across a range of missions. Expect to see some gameplay in the coming months.
Further details about the game are also being kept under wraps for now. That said the Warplanes series has proved popular with VR fans thanks to its content-rich games with a wide range of options from single-player campaign missions to cooperative modes and even user-generated content. Could we perhaps expect some of those features in HeliSquad, too? And how might the game control using VR motion controllers? We’ll be looking for answers to those questions in the weeks ahead.
As the trailer teases, Home Next Games isn’t quite ready to reveal a release window for HeliSquad. The game will, however, release on PC VR, Quest and even the Pico Neo Link 3 headset. For now, Warplanes: Battle Over Pacific remains in early access on PC VR and Quest, but a full launch is also in the works.
