Here's How To Watch The Actual Solar Eclipse Live In VR

Google Earth might be simulating the solar eclipse from inside VR, but if you want to watch the real thing with a headset then CNN has you covered too.

Eclipse of the Century is a 360 degree live show that will give you a view of the historic event inside VR or on other devices. You’ll be able to journey across the US to view the best eclipse moments as our Moon continues to blot out the sun over the course of the day. The show has just kicked off and will continue to stream throughout the day.

If you wanna watch it inside VR then you’ll need the Samsung Gear VR headset. The show will be livestreamed inside the Samsung VR app. If you don’t have a Gear then you’ll still be able to watch it on your phone through the CNN app and you can tap a headset icon to make it viewable in smartphone-based headsets. Either that or bring it up in Google Chrome or Firefox on your PC to click and drag around the scenes.

You’ll likely have some options to rewatch the eclipse too, but that’s not quite the same as seeing it live.
