iPhone 8 Is Carefully Calibrated For Augmented Reality

by Ian Hamilton • September 12th, 2017

Apple revealed its iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have specially calibrated sensors and cameras ideal for superior AR experiences.

This is in line with what we expected Apple to reveal heading into its announcements today. Apple’s ARKit has been used for a number of impressive applications, but the new iPhone looks to take it to the next level with carefully calibrated hardware that can even let you view constellations shown in the sky above through the iPhone’s camera.

Updates to come.

To check up star constellations and info about stars through AR would be awesome while camping with friends near some lake.
