A year and a half on from launch and five months after Google purchased Owlchemy Labs, the developer has updated its influential VR game, Job Simulator.
Owlchemy today launched a free surprise update for the game that adds an endless play mode named Infinite Overtime. Once you’ve completed all tasks in any of the game’s four job types, you’ll be able to access this mode for the given task. It randomizes objectives and adds an infinite number of customers and orders, meaning you’ll be able to spend as much time as you like in each job.
In this mode you’ll meet TempBot, a lazier version of JobBot. It also includes new mini-meta games and other little easter eggs like fidget spinners, because it’s 2018. Check out the trailer for the update in GIF form below.
On top of all that, Job Simulator’s getting a permanent price drop. You can now pick the game up for $19.99 across HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR (PSVR). Last we heard Owlchemy had generated $3 million in revenue from the game, which we gave an 8/10 back at Vive launch. What the studio is working on now its under Google’s wing remains unclear.
