Having made the jump from Oculus Rift to HTC Vive last month, Tripwire Interactive’s Killing Floor: Incursion has now set its sights on a new platform – PlayStation VR (PSVR).
The monster shooter will be arriving on Sony’s headset in 2018, Tripwire confirmed during last week’s PlayStation Experience event. You can check out the trailer below which, if it’s captured on PS4, looks like it’s been ported over pretty well.
Killing Floor: Incursion is a horror-based first-person shooter (FPS) in which players use motion controllers to gun down hordes of terrifying enemies. The game has full co-op support as well as solo play, with a story-driven campaign, though it’s not for the faint of heart.
There’ll be some new content on PSVR too. The game’s Holdout mode, which was introduced at the Vive version’s release, will have a new map that will appear first on PSVR before coming to Rift and Vive at a later date.
We quite liked Incursion when it first debuted on Rift. ” The unsettling atmosphere is pervasive through each level and the excellent gameplay mechanics between melee and gun combat feel visceral and satisfying,” we said in our review. While it does clock in a bit shorter than I’d have liked with only four levels, they are each large and fun to explore. I absolutely recommend that you grab a buddy for some insane co-op fun and lop off a few zed heads for a good time.”
