Update: Square Enix has just shared more about the Kingdom Hearts VR experience via the PlayStation Blog.
The game will be arriving this holiday season as a free download for all PSVR owners. It’s a short piece lasting around 10 minutes, though Square does tease that you’ll be able to unlock more content. From the sounds of it, the app will allow you to revisit some of the biggest moments in the series’ history and experience them first-hand. Original story is below.
Original story: The world of Kingdom Hearts is coming to Sony’s PlayStation VR (PSVR).
A Kingdom Hearts VR experience was announced for the headset during Sony’s pre-TGS PlayStation livestream today. A brief trailer introduced the app, which looked like it had players wielding a Move controller to realistically use Sora’s iconic keyblade. Kingdom Hearts mixes iconic Disney franchises with Final Fantasy characters.
No other information about the game was released at the time but we have to imagine we’ll find out more as we approach the launch of Kingdom Hearts III in the next few months.
