We thought we were just days away from getting to experience Rockstar Games’ LA Noire in VR. Sadly, we’ll have to wait a bit longer.
LA Noire: The VR Case Files, which was announced in September for a November 14 release, will now be launching in December 2017, IGN reports. Rockstar made the announcement in a recent earnings report, though didn’t provide a more specific release date. The game is coming to the HTC Vive, with no mention of possible Oculus Rift and PSVR versions right now. The remastered versions of the game for the PS4 and Xbox One are still on track for that date, as is the Nintendo Switch version.
The VR Case Files takes seven of the missions from the original game and translates them into VR experiences. These will include all the core elements from the original game, including the interrogation system in which you must decide if suspects are telling the truth or not, as well as the shootouts and car chases.
December is already a big month for Vive; Bethesda’s Doom VFR hits on the first day of the month, and Fallout 4 VR follows on December 12. Vive owners will have a lot to put on their Christmas lists, then.
