It’s finally time. You asked for it, and Impulse Gear answered the call.
Here’s your first look at VOD in Larcenauts.
Impulse Gear shared a first look at the character on the Upload VR Showcase today. VOD is the game’s brawler class and this footage certainly lives up to that name. He uses two elasticated arms to pummel opponents from across the map, beating down on them and sending them flying. Needless to say, he’s very different from a lot of Larcenauts’ other class types (named specialists), though it does look like he has some ranged abilities, too.
Also debuting at the show is the future roadmap for Larcenauts. The game’s immediate plans include adding in some features we’ve seen requested by its followers in the run-up to launch, including a manual reload option, two-handed aiming and private lobbies.
Meanwhile, a Fall update will add a new map, mode and specialist to the game. Quite a lot to look forward to in the near future, then.
As for a release date? The game’s still on track to release this summer on both PC VR and Oculus Quest. We’ll have more for you on that front as soon as we know it.
