The Limit Is A New VR Series Directed By Robert Rodriguez

Sin City director Robert Rodriguez and Fast and Furious actor Michelle Rodriguez are teaming up for an original VR series called The Limit.

The show is set to air on Surreal, a new pay-per-view VR channel from STX Entertainment launching later this year. The series will be shot from a first-person perspective with Robert Rodriguez co-writing, directing and producing it. No word yet on which headsets the experience will be available on.

In The Limit, Michelle Rodriguez plays a genetically enhanced weapon of mass destruction that seeks revenge on those who created her. That’s all we know about it for now, though the director and actor have previously worked on other films including the Machete series which might give you some hints as to what to expect (blood, and lots of it).

We’ll definitely be interested to see what comes out of The Limit, especially with its first-person view. VR video content appears to be increasingly attracting big names of late; there are also series starring John Travolta and Nicolas Cage on the way while Terrence Malik is directing a VR experience to be shown that this year’s South by Southwest.
