Your best chance to feel like a sleek secret agent in VR is here: a VR modder has converted classic Monolith Productions shooter No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy In Harm’s Way to VR.
Okay, so it wasn’t exactly at the top of our lists for VR ports, but modder LukeRoss (who, obviously, is a big fan of the original) seems to have done a rock solid job porting the 2002 game over to the Oculus Rift. Though played with a standard gamepad instead of the Touch controller. You can grab it for free from here (though, obviously, you’ll need the actual game too). The developer is also taking feedback on the official Oculus forums.
Ross, who is a huge fan of other VR mods like those for Doom 3 and Star Wars: Jedi Knight II, has been working on the mod for months. In No One Lives Forever 2 you play as U.N.I.T.Y. agent Cate Archer, tasked with battling evil organization, H.A.R.M.. The game gives players several playstyles to toy with, including action and stealth, embracing Cold War-era spy thrillers in tone.
Even if you haven’t played the game before there’s not really much releasing on Rift in these early weeks of the year, so you might want to give it a go all the same.
