What was looking like a pretty quiet week on the PlayStation VR front was saved at the last minute today with the arrival of a new Call of Duty with a VR experience attached. Other than that there really isn’t much to see here just yet, though next week does bring both Robinson and Eagle Flight to the platform.
If you missed last week, you can see those new releases here. Also, UploadVR just launched the ‘UploadVR PS VR Community’ on PlayStation 4! Join up, find other gamers to play with, and engage in discussions.
Call of Duty: Jackal Assault VR, from Infinity Ward and Paper Crane Games
Price: Free
A tie-in experience for this week’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is free for all PS VR owners to download, but it will take longer to do that than actually play it. This is a super-brief space combat experience in which you sit in the cockpit of a spacecraft and swat down bothersome enemies before everything ends with a huge explosion.
Recommendation: It’s free so it can’t hurt to download, but be warned it’s not very inspiring.
Moto Racer 4, from Anuman Interactive
Price £34.99 (Not yet available in US)
We can’t think of too many VR experiences that let you drive a bike yet, but Moto Racer 4 looks like it could be a good debut for the genre. It’s a very pretty racing game with both single and multiplayer modes. Driveclub VR sadly doesn’t include bikes, but hopefully this will serve as a good replacement.
Recommendation: Hopefully we’ll be able to get impressions to you in the near future.
