New PlayStation VR Releases For the Week Of 12/11/16

New PlayStation VR Releases For the Week Of 12/11/16

Between Fantastic Contraption, Herocade and the Battlezone update, it’s been a good week for PlayStation VR announcements, but what about releases? There’s a handful of interesting stuff ready and waiting this week, though nothing that will make you want to rush out and buy your own headset. It’s a pretty empty slate, but you can expect a surge of new PS VR users over the holiday season, meaning we’ll hopefully get lots of new games first thing in the new year.

There also appear to be a few mix ups; Fat City VR was listed in this week’s PlayStation Store Drop on the official blog, though it hasn’t shown up. There are also a few missing games still that are out in one territory but not in the other. It’s a rough week to be an EU PS VR owner, let’s just say that.

If you missed last week, you can see those new releases here. Also, UploadVR has launched the ‘UploadVR PS VR Community’ on PlayStation 4! Join up, find other gamers to play with, and engage in discussions.

I Expect You To Die, from Schell Games
Price: $24.99 (Not available in the EU)

I Expect You To Die [Review: 7/10] has been a long time coming for many VR fans, but it’s finally here and it doesn’t disappoint. This James Bond-esque escape room game has you using Touch to trial and error your way out of deadly traps, often leading to your swift demise in some pretty outlandish ways.

Recommendation: Schell Games have done a good job with this one, and it finds a good home on PS VR.

Perfect, from nDreams
Price: $9.99 (Not available in the EU)

Sit back and relax in this picturesque follow up to nDreams’ Perfect Beach. Visit three different locations and take in their sights and sounds, throwing snow balls and uncovering easter eggs. Perfect is not really designed for anyone that’s reading this list, it’s meant to be a quick showcase of VR to show friends and family.

Recommendation: If you’re showing people VR this holiday season, Perfect is a good way to do it.
