New PSVR Releases For Week Of 07/16/17

PlayStation VR (PSVR) is still going strong a month on from its E3 showing; this week sees the release of two big shooters for the platform, one of which is easily one of the best games going for the platform right now.

If you missed last week’s releases then you can see them here.  UploadVR has also launched the ‘UploadVR PSVR Community’ on PlayStation 4! Join up, find other gamers to play with, and engage in discussions with them.

Also, don’t forget to check out our list of the 9 Best PlayStation VR Games if you need any extra inspiration.

Superhot VR, from Superhot Team
Price: $19.99

Easily the highlight of this week, one of the best shooters on Rift and Vive finally comes to Sony’s headset. In Superhot VR time moves only when the player does, meaning you’re able to slow action scenes right down, search for weapons, and then take enemies out. Be careful, though, as taking just one bullet will mean you’ll have to start the level over.

Recommendation: One of PSVR’s best games, don’t miss it. Our full review and tips for playing.

Archangel, from Skydance Interactive
Price: $39.99

The VR debut from Skydance Interactive is an on-rails shooter in which you control a giant mech. Battle against an endless army of war machines in a fight for survival that places as much emphasis on story as it does action. Play with either two Move controllers or the DualShock 4.

Recommendation: Archangel is a decent shooter, though its story gets in the way of the fun. Read our full review.

Idolm@aster Cinderella Girls Viewing Revolution, from Bandai Namco
Price: $19.99

And now for something completely different. This is a strange little experience in which you watch Japanese idols dance on stage to one of three songs. That’s really it, but I guess there’s a niche for this sort of thing. Be warned, though: it’s very DLC heavy.

Recommendation: You probably already know if you want this or not.
