NextVR will live stream the Oculus Connect keynotes tomorrow on GearVR

This year’s Oculus Connect conference was invite only, meaning that many VR developers and enthusiasts are left to watch the proceedings from home. But it wouldn’t be a virtual reality conference if there wasn’t some content livestreamed into VR.

Oculus and NextVR have announced that they will be partnering to stream tomorrow’s keynotes in 180 3D via an update to NextVR’s GearVR app. The update will bring with it more than just the conference livestreams, users will also have a chance to check out some of the footage from the Manchester United vs. FCB soccer match that the company recorded recently.

This comes as welcomed news for a VR community eager to experience the next generation in conference attendance. Interestingly this is not the only way to interact with the conference in VR. AltspaceVR also announced that they will be streaming the conference into their platform, hosting enthusiasts who are eager to talk about the goings on in what is sure to be a hugely busy day for news.
