Wait, don’t roll your eyes. We know, it’s yet another VR horror game, but Obscura looks like it could really be a terrifying experience.
Indie developer Michael Hegemann announced this new Oculus Rift and HTC Vive title this week along with the creepy first trailer below. Details are thin right now, but Hegemann is promising a “puristic horror experience” that will feature randomized elements and an “almost invisible enemy” to keep players on their toes. The environment reminds us a little of the original Slender, but features like holding a beating heart in your hand has us hoping for something even scarier.
Obscura is aiming for release in early October. You can keep tabs on the game over on the developer’s official Twitter account.
