I don’t think I’ve seen a sale on the Oculus Rift in about five minutes, so it’s time for yet another promotion.
Whereas Black Friday and subsequent sales saw the VR headset discounted to $349, Oculus is pricing its kit at $379 for the last few days of Christmas shopping. The deal runs out at 11:59 pm PT on December 20th, so you’ve got a few days to secure one. You can pick it up on the Oculus Store or head over to Best Buy, Amazon and Newegg. This is the bundle that will also contain two sensors and a pair of Oculus Touch controllers to bring your hands into VR.
This is (likely) the last in a heavy stream of discounts on the Rift in 2017. It’s somewhat hard to believe that the headset and its Touch controllers cost around $700 at the start of the year and can now be picked up for just over half that price. We’d say that this is almost certainly the final Rift sale of 2017, but at this point we’ve learned not to speak too soon.
Along with your Rift you’ll also get free games like Lucky’s Tale and Robo Recall as well as apps like Quill. Also don’t forget that Oculus’ own Winter Sale is going on right now with plenty of discounts on some of Rift’s biggest games. Is it enough to sway you to join the VR side this year?
