Oculus and Marvel have been eerily quiet on the status of Marvel Powers United VR, the co-op superhero beat ’em up first revealed last year. Prior to E3 we got word that the game was still in development and coming along just fine, despite not revealing any news or characters around the premiers of Black Panther or Avengers: Infinity War.
According to a tweet today from the Oculus Rift Twitter account, it looks like that silence is finally about to be broken. It’s an ominous 10-second long clip that simply says “All Hail The King” with the date of June 28th plastered below. Watch it for yourself right here:

Is this a new character reveal? Does it mean Black Panther is coming to Marvel Powers United VR? Or perhaps the Mandarin, Iron Man, or someone else from the Marvel One-Shot short film of the same name? Or, based on the lion roaring sound, maybe it’s Lionheart/Captain Britain?
Thankfully we only have to wait a few more days to find out. We’ve played a prior build of the game and are eager to learn more in the coming months. Deadpool and The Hulk were both a blast to play with and we’re still crossing our fingers for a Spider-Man reveal hopefully.
