Promising VR shooter Seeking Dawn is getting a closed beta, and you can sign up to take part very soon.
A countdown over on the game’s website confirms that applications for the closed beta — and a chance to pre-order the game — will go live at 12:00am PST on January 30th. This will allow Oculus Rift and HTC Vive owners to get a first look at the game, though only 10% of applicants will be granted a code and they’ll have to sign a non-disclosure agreement as well as provide feedback in order to take part. We’re not sure exactly how much of the game players will have access to during this time.
Still, it looks like it’ll be worth giving it a shot; Seeking Dawn first caught our attention last year thanks to the scale of the game, which allows up to four friends to team up online and explore a strange new planet. On the website alone developer Multiverse promises a game at least four times longer than other leading VR titles.
Seeking Dawn is due to launch on Rift and Vive later this year with plans for a PlayStation VR (PSVR) version also in the works.
