Sony’s PlayStation VR headset is about to hit its lowest price yet.
Riding high off of an aggressive Black Friday showing, Sony is dropping the price of PSVR down to $199.99 with a copy of Gran Turismo Sport bundled in for free. As far as we can tell, this is the cheapest price PSVR has gone for so far; there were a few cyber Monday deals that had the device at $199, though this was for the standalone unit. The deal seems to only extend to the US right now and runs from December 10th – 16th. Clearly someone’s hinting about what to put under the tree this Christmas.
Don’t forget that the bundle also includes the PlayStation Camera and the demo disc with refreshed samples of PSVR games both new and old.
You’ll also be able to pick up some other PSVR bundles on the day. There’s a box with Doom VFR, which releases last week for $299.99 but, seeing as the game itself can be found for $30 or less, we really wouldn’t recommend going for this option. Finally, there’s the Skyrim VR bundle for $349.99, packing in two Move controllers as well as the excellent open-world RPG. Again, you’d be best getting the $199.99 bundle and securing the rest for yourself.
Finally, if you need a PS4 to go with it, enhanced Pro consoles for going for as little as $349.99. Grab a standard console for ~$280, though, and you could go all-in on PSVR for less than $500.
