Offering amazing diorama-style levels, PlayStation VR’s (PSVR’s) Moss is one of the headset’s best and most adorable games. You can’t play the game in non-VR (at least, right now), but one fan’s unofficial remake using LittleBigPlanet can give you a taste of what that might be like.
Twitter user Conduit_Flux is currently working on recreating the world of moss inside Sony’s LittleBigPlanet 3 on PlayStation 4. The game allows players not only to build their own levels using an extensive set of tools but also then share them online. In the Tweet below you can see the first few areas of the game very faithfully recreated, right down to a customized Sackboy that looks just like Quill, the hero of the original game. You can even still see the reflection of the player character in the water in the first level.

As you can see in the next area, gameplay is slightly different. The original game’s motion controls using the DualShock 4 are simulated with the right analog stick, for example. Still, it’s an amazing piece of work right now, and even developer Polyarc itself has shown its support for the fan project.
This is soooo cool! Can’t wait to download the build and play it ourselves.

Hopefully Conduit_Flux will wrap it up soon and we’ll be able to jump into the levels for ourselves. As for the real deal, we’d definitely recommend picking Moss up if you haven’t already. Games Editor David Jagneaux called it a “hidden gem” in our review. “Moss strikes that perfect balance between tense, action-packed moments of combat with slow, methodical puzzles that require you to rethink the way you interact with video games through the power of VR,” he said. “Polyarc has crafted one of PSVR’s most essential games to date.”
