Rampage Comes To VR... As A Move Tie-In

Arcade classic Rampage seems like a perfect match for VR headsets, combining an amazing sense of scale as you clamber up buildings with the incredible rush of destroying everything in your path. Well, the series has finally come to VR, but now how you might imagine.

Released today, Project Rampage VR is a tie-in to the upcoming Rampage movie starring The Rock (who is developing a knack for randomly popping up in the VR scene). It’s a free app for the HTC Vive and Gear VR. In it, you can play as one of the three classic monsters also appearing in the movie, George, Ralph and Lizzie. The game’s developed by Sticky Studios and published by Warner Bros.

Your objective is simple: smash stuff. You get to run around cities, climbing up the side of buildings by punching holes in them and fighting off the military. Each monster boasts their own abilities. You can topple both Chicago and Paris and also make your own monsters in the game’s hub world.

It may be free but the system requirements are pretty steep, asking for a minimum of a GTX 1070 graphics card and 8GB RAM. If you have that, though, it might be worth checking this one out.
