See More Of Downward Spiral In Its First Dev Diary

3rd Eye Studios’ Downward Spiral: Horus Station has to be one of our most anticipated VR games on the horizon right now, and we’ve just got a fresh look at it.

The developer is today launching a series of diaries chronicling the making of its sci-fi adventure. In this first episode, the team’s Sound Designer, Can Uzer, talks about engineering audio in the depths of space. There’s plenty of new gameplay footage of the zero-gravity experience across the three-minute clip. Unsurprisingly, Uzer mentions classic deep space horror, Dead Space, as an inspiration for the game’s audio.

Downward Spiral: Horus Station is set to arrive on PSVR, Vive, Rift and Windows this Spring, with non-VR modes enabled on PS4 and PC, too.

Love good sound design and how it’s applied to virtual experiences but that had to be the most anemic and uninteresting “diary” installment ever. Like watching a mid-game athlete interview.

I can’t wait to not watch the next one.
