Get An Exclusive Look At Morally Ambiguous Execution Game Sentenced At The Holiday VR Showcase

For our second VR showcase, taking place next week, we wanted to highlight some of the more obscure VR projects on our radar that should be on yours too. Sentenced perfectly fits that bill.

We first discovered this unique VR execution game earlier this year. In it, you take on the role of an executioner. You’ll be placed on stage, ready to remove heads from shoulders. But Sentenced isn’t a simple gore-fest experience; the game’s set to challenge your decisions and explore topics like guilt and justice.

Think of it a little like Papers Please; you’ll be judging cases and following orders. There might be other options on the table for players to discover, too. The game wants to get players reflecting on taking orders from authority and their own personal responsibility. My sure your heart is in the right place before you take the big swing.

How will it do all of that? You’ll have to tune into our Holiday VR Showcase to find out. We’re going to have an exclusive look at the game in which developer Samuel Gordon will talk you through some of its elements. Expect plenty of new gameplay clips as we go behind the scenes of what’s shaping up to be one of our most anticipated games of 2020.

So be back here for the Holiday VR Showcase at 9am PT/12pm ET/5pm GMT on November 27. We’ll have a bunch more games to share (including a final look at Budget Cuts 2 and a Curious little surprise) with trailers, gameplay and more walkthroughs. We’ll see you then!
