Every week VR artists are making amazing new sculptures using tools like Tilt Brush and Oculus Quill. These elaborate artworks go beyond what’s possible in our world, often creating entirely new ones. It would be a shame to let these go to waste, so we’re highlighting four awesome new pieces featured on 3D model site Sketchfab that we’ve come across recently.
This week we’ve got quite possibly the cutest 3D model ever.

Let’s welcome one of the first Blocks creations to the Favs. This piece is a stunning example of just how in-depth you can go with Google’s deceptively simple new tool set. Better yet this one’s complete with subtle animations that bring it to life.

This Tilt Brush creation is one of the most realistic pieces we’ve seen created with the toolset. The attention to detail from the shades of the bark to the vines hanging from branches is absolutely amazing thanks to a clean up in Blender3d.
Making Friends, by Joe Daniels
If we were artistically gifted ourselves then we’d probably be making pieces like Making Friends all the time. This adorable cutesy scene was made in Oculus Medium and melts our hearts every time we see it. Quick, to r/aww!

What a great tribute to Blizzard’s Overwatch this is. We might not be able to play the competitive shooter in VR, but getting up close to this lovingly crafted rendition of one of its characters made in Medium is the next best thing.
