Skyrim VR PC Livestream: Ultimate Mod Showcase

by David Jagneaux • April 5th, 2018

Now that Skyrim VR is officially out on PC for Rift, Vive, and Windows VR, that means it’s time to stream it again! You can find our review of the PC version of Bethesda’s sprawling VR adventure here or look back at our PSVR review from last year. Since the PC version of Skyrim VR features unofficial (but usable) mod support, we’re going to focus this livestream on some of our favorite mods to use when exploring the snowy northern regions of Tamriel.

We’ll be livestreaming Skyrim VR on PC using Rift with Touch starting in about a half hour as of the time this is being published (which means we’ll start at approximately 2:30PM PT) and aim to last for about two hours. You can see the full stream embedded right here down below once it’s up:

We intend to start livestreaming VR games a lot more often now and you can see our archived streams all in this one handy Livestream playlist over on the official UploadVR YouTube channel (which you should totally subscribe to by the way).

Let us know which games you want us to livestream next and what you want to see us do, specifically, in Skyrim VR for PC. Comment with feedback down below!

well thank you sir. whining like an adolescent brought kindess. ive just signed up to nexus mods and dled the SE patch. no install just yet. im beginning this project. its daunting. i did just post to the mod list page with my specs trying to gauge whether i should even bother i if i want to keep good performance: evga 1081ti sc2/i7 5 series 3.3ghz/32 RAM/ssd. Im 10 hours in and i dont want to miss out, but oh man. what a task.

        • You can do it!

so ive downloaded and installed them all. all i have to say is O M G. runs just as well too. luckily ive installed it before i made my way to the graybeards. that was an amazing trek, with some amazing views. i wonder if any of the mods that you guys suggested could be game breaking, especially with a save file 11 hours in.

Somebody really need to make the optimal list of mods. Its totally confusing when you get differnt lists from every youtuber and post on reddit etc.

    • That will never happen because everyone has different preferences and priorities with what they want to do with mods. You just have to pick and choose for yourself!

That’s like saying “I want an optimal list of the world’s best food dishes”

I have really enjoyed installing mods one by one and testing them out in Oculus headset. With a 1080 ti you can really push the limits of Skyrim VR.
I had a brush with a giant last night and its a whole new experience now.
