Still on the fence about Vertigo Games’ Skyworld VR? Well, now you can try it out for free.
The Arizona Sunshine developer is today releasing a free demo of its latest VR game on Steam. It allows you to play through the opening mission of the strategy game, with over an hours’ worth of content on offer. If you decide to make the jump to the full game then your progression will carry over too.
Skyworld VR (not to be mistaken with that other VR game with ‘Sky’ in the title) mixes turn-based and real-time strategy in a full single-player campaign as well as online multiplayer modes.
This demo is a good chance to make up your own mind on the game; we weren’t so hot on it when we reviewed it back in October. We enjoyed the time we spent in the game’s cartoonish world, but ultimately found its potential unrealized.
Skyworld VR is available on the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Windows-based Mixed Reality VR headsets for $39.99.
