Between big releases like Superhot VR, Archangel and Theseus, it’s a great time to be a PlayStation VR (PSVR) owner. Today, though, Sony announced four new titles on the way to the headset from eastern developers.
Many of these we’ve seen before, but this is the first time we’ve seen them confirmed for release in the west. The first is Stifled, an indie horror game that we wrote about back in 2016. Developed by Gattai Games, it sees you navigating a world that only becomes visible when you make sounds. Built-in microphone support makes your own voice a tool to succeed, although it can also attract enemies, so use caution.
Next up is The Walker, a game that caught our eye earlier this year for its impressive graphics. This is a fantasy combat title from Haymaker in which you play as the descendant on an ancient family. Using spells and weapons you fight off demonic invasions. Kill X, another shooter that we got hands-on with earlier this year, is also on its way over.
Finally, there’s a game we saw at E3: Legion Commander. It’s a fantasy tactical warfare game in which you send units out onto the battlefield in an attempt to conquer your opponent’s army.
Sony didn’t put dates on any of these games, but we’re hoping to see at least some of them this year. On the western side, there are still big releases like Doom VFR and Skyrim VR to look forward to. It’s going to be a good year.
