Soul Dimension Is A PSVR Horror Game You Can Play Soon

Chinese games studio Keen Vision announced their VR debut today with a trailer for Soul Dimension, a new PSVR puzzle-horror game.

There is very little information about the game beyond the trailer, and Keen Vision has no English-language web presence. A brief description on the PlayStation EU YouTube channel sounds like it was directly translated from Chinese. Apparently, Soul Dimension puts players in the role of Frank, a man with the ability to enter the dreams of others. He must rescue Daisy, his deceased daughter, from these dreams. However, before Frank can save Daisy, “Frank is put into a more dramatic plot.” At least we know the game will feature a plot.

Before Soul Dimension, Keen Vision produced commercial AR and VR apps, including an AR anatomy viewer for med students, and a firefighter training simulator. Three games appear on the company’s website. One is a horror game due in September 2017 for PSVR, Steam, Google Daydream, and GearVR. We believe this is the same game depicted in the Soul Dimension trailer. The second appears to be a sequel, with a December 2017 release date. Both of these are described as online games in English, but the trailer mentions no online play for Soul Dimension. The final game is a location-based VR experience that uses the Oculus Rift.

Publisher Time of Virtual Reality’s website offers slightly more clarity, with the Soul Dimension title written in English under a logo that says Soul Lunar Eclipse. However, clicking the link leads to a page for another game entirely, LightningEndVR.

Hopefully, Keen Vision or Time of Virtual Reality has more info waiting to drop before Soul Dimension’s PlayStation VR debut next week on August 22nd.
